Haylie Kang is a second year MPA student at the University of Washington Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. Her concentrations are Analysis and Evaluation, with a broader emphasis on social policy. She has a B.S in General Biology from the University of Washington-Seattle. After graduating from college, she did a major career shift from pre-med to policy. Before the Evans school, she has done work as an intern on a re-election campaign for a state congressman, as well as several years in clinical research at the Seattle Children’s Research institute. In her free time, she likes to soak up the sun whenever Seattle will offer on her paddleboard, go hiking, and spend time with her dog and partner.
