Projects We Support

General Operating Support

Support from Tomberg Family Philanthropies will empower NCN’s work to champion, connect, and inform charitable nonprofits of all subsectors nationwide during a time of immense challenges in 2025 and 2026 when federal grant funding is at risk, revenues are declining, and online narratives mischaracterize the tremendous value of nonprofit organizations. Our work includes:

  • Championing beneficial public policies through direct advocacy, behind-the-scenes action, and our work with mainstream media. This ensures a strong nonprofit presence before the federal government, in state capitals, and at city hall.

  • Connecting nonprofits nationwide so that they can identify shared challenges, exchange successful strategies and solutions, and amplify their voices to produce positive outcomes.

  • Providing trusted information for and about the nonprofit sector, utilized by both nonprofits and foundations in their everyday operations. Our communications efforts illuminate for policymakers, journalists, donors, and the public alike the extent to which the public good depends upon a flourishing nonprofit sector.
