Projects We Support
The Baby College and Harlem Gems
The Baby College (parenting workshops, child development classes, and access to community resources for parents with children ages 0-3) and Harlem Gems (Pre-K) are two key programs of the Early Childhood Pipeline, which provides parents with linked-best practice programs from birth, and providing a foundation for children’s journey out of poverty. The Baby College is 45 weeks of programming, serving approximately 450 parents annually. Harlem Gems is a daily, year-round preschool program for approximately 240 children that utilizes several evidence-based curricula. Both of these programs are part of HCZ’s widely recognized national anti-poverty model.
