Projects We Support
Empowering Women: Community Health Promoters Training in Rural Bolivia
Etta Projects will strengthen community-based healthcare by training 40 women through a comprehensive two-year Community Health Promoter (CHP) program. In remote villages where access to care is often limited or unavailable, participants gain practical skills in first aid, life-saving interventions, and health education—including disease prevention, maternal and child health, family planning, and contraception.
Upon completion, CHPs manage community health kits that provide essential medicines and supplies locally, ensuring basic care is accessible within the community. By empowering local women to deliver care, the program not only improves health outcomes but also cultivates trusted leaders with the confidence and skills to serve in broader community leadership roles. This initiative creates new opportunities for women to lead and influence change within a traditionally patriarchal society.
