Funding Area: Health
Arkansas Abortion Support Network’s mission is to empower Arkansans in their right to bodily autonomy and reduce barriers to abortion access by providing funding and necessary resources. It works to expand access to reproductive healthcare resources in one of the most restrictive environments in the country. The organization focuses on practical support and equitable access, helping people navigate barriers created by poverty, distance, stigma, and limited healthcare infrastructure. Its work increasingly centers on prevention and access to contraception in communities where options have narrowed significantly.
Projects We Support
Pathways to Prevention: Emergency & Everyday Contraceptive Access
Pathways to Prevention: Emergency and Everyday Contraceptive Access is an initiative of the Arkansas
Abortion Support Network designed to ensure accessible, timely, and equitable access to contraceptive
products across Arkansas. This project is to ensure a supply of contraceptive products to Arkansas college campuses. As the reproductive health landscape in the state continues to shift rapidly, with abortion banned, clinics closed, and a growing need for preventive methods, this project represents a critical evolution in our organization’s work.
This program directly reduces unintended pregnancies, empowers individuals, and provides life-saving tools in a state where reproductive options are limited. With this support, AASN can expand its reach, stabilize its supply chain, and ensure that every Arkansan—no matter where they live or what they earn—has access to the contraception they need.
