Marty ( 1926-2003 ), born in New York, was an avid Democratic, Yankee fan and entrepreneur who devoted his life to his family. Sitting in his well worn recliner, reading the New York Times with the din of Sunday morning political commentary in the background, Marty, as he was known to all, created a home full of love and memories.

He was also an extraordinarily generous man who gave without expectation of receiving. His quiet giving established an interest-free scholarship fund, a college reading program and a fund that supports the research of young professors among other programs. Marty was truly the inspiration for the Tomberg Family Philanthropies.
